September

The end of summer destroys me. Some folks love fall, and I don’t mind it, but summer is my jam. A million shades of green, the lighting as the world is half in sunlight and half under thunderheads, crickets and peeper frogs lulling you to sleep …

Tomorrow is my first event of the season.

This is a new event, and it’s outside, so fingers crossed the weather holds out ( when 90% of your stock is paper, well…)  I look forward to a new location as well; never been to this college but what a cool event to kick off a semester!

I have new jewelry to show off.

I’ll also have some new art, but some I’m holding back. I’d like the get the entire Egyptian series colored before I put that out, and possibly matted as well. But there will be YuGiOh, D&D, and other Tarot to be found.

So, brave the rain, hit up a couple of food trucks (my personal weaknesses are tacos, kettle corn, and ice cream). I don’t even want to go there, but the truth is the holidays are upon us. Much as we anticipate Halloween, it’ll be done and gone and then it’s planning the Thanksgiving menu and Christmas will be here while our bodies are still absorbing the tryptophan from the turkey. Not to mention, birthdays and anniversaries don’t stop.

Or, screw the holidays and treat yourself!

Also a preview of the next event, September 29 in Johnstown. I did the first in April, and it was a blast!

Lastly, I’m going to start adding little food for thought blips at the end of these.

So, blip: Not a fan of Fox. Not only their news (I don’t watch any news because it’s all a misery) but their reality shows, which have sunk to the lowest sort of trash. I only watch the food ones, but damn, they’re all about dividing us. MasterChef has divided us into regions of the country, into generations. Hells Kitchen has done the same motif. Sure, competition is healthy. Friendly, constructive competition. But I’ll pursue those feelings in a separate blog. I’m just saying, don’t fall for scripted garbage, we’re all on this planet together, don’t let the so-called elite put wedges between us.

Find friends, try a little human interaction, and live that life to the fullest!!!
