Today, the first of (hopefully many) day trips. Beacon, downstate right around Fishkill correction facility, Newburgh, yada yada, is a beautiful little artisan’s town. Much like Hudson, it’s seeing increased traffic from the city. I can only assume its why living space is so ridiculously expensive; the above building is being converted into apartments that start at $400,000. Too bad, because it would be a great place to live, one of those adorable New England style towns with everything in walking distance, and oodles of galleries, eateries, shops full of shiny things…you get the idea.
